My 1 year Anniversary!

1 year ago today I started my blog.

1 year ago today I started my fitness journey.

1 year ago today I started Coaching others with their health & fitness.

When I began my journey I wanted to work on myself, get healthier, exercise more, have more energy.

And along with that, encourage others to do the same.

I wanted to help my family. I wanted to be an example.

I also wanted to help to bring in extra income to help out with sudden expenses, pay down debt, be more financially secure. And also take my family on vacations.

Well I am so happy to say that I have done all of these things.

Through hard work and dedication I have been able to have more energy to do it all.
To take care of my family as a Stay at Home/Working Mom.  With the support of my family.  And all the while doing this only a couple hours in the morning, and while my little guy napped and girls off to school!

I started out drinking Shakeology and exercising to Turbo Fire, and then 21 day fix program.

More about my transformation here

http://onthegohealthymoms.blogspot.com/search/label/success%20story

I have also been able to earn some money each month to pay for my Shakeology, plus more.

When I started my goal was to pay for it, and then it progressed.

My first paycheck was $60, it was getting my parents started on their journey.  They both have lost a combined total of 80 lbs. Amazing!

In my first month of Coaching I made $146.88, this helped me to pay for my Shakeology & workout program- my Turbo Fire Challenge pack which helped me to lose my stubborn 10 lbs.

By Month 6 I had made $2,850.26.

And now a year into this I have made $4,707.16 total to date.

My goal was to make $5,000 by the end of 2015, I am almost there!

I have been able to pay for our Disneyland Vacation back in February, Brady's Alaska trip in August, as well as pay for car expenses and help pay down debt. It has felt so great to be able to contribute and have some play money too. We have been able to not feel so strapped like before.

I can't believe I have been coaching for 1 year today!

What a fun, rewarding job I have. And to be part of a Team where I have learned so much! I have learned how to set goals, dream big, and help others to be healthy & fit.

I have never been so active in all my life thanks to Coaching and Beachbody programs. And the biggest thing I have noticed are my energy levels. I can get up early- which didn't happen before. And I don't have that afternoon slump where I just want to take a nap!

I run Challenge groups each month. They are fun, motivating and what my participants don't know is that they are inspiring to me when I see and read and hear what successes they have. It keeps me going!

I now not only help myself to stay active, eat healthier, drink more water.  But I have been able to help other Mom's/Dad's to get into shape from home and help those that want to work from home and do what I do, earning extra income, paying for their Shakeology and getting Fit both physically and financially.

I am thankful for this journey. I am thankful for this past year and what I have learned. I can't wait to help more Women/Men. It has been amazing! I am looking for those that want to earn extra income, want to be healthier. I am looking for those that are Ready and dedicated. And I will show you what I have learned! Come join me! It will change your life, just like it has changed mine!

November Goals & recap of my October

Here is a review of my Oct Goals . . .

  • FHE board- filled out and used!
  •  My blog posts put onto my Pinterest page!
Follow me here! https://www.pinterest.com/healthyonthego/

  • Plan out Christmas Gifts- keeping it simple this year:
Something they want, Something they need, Something to wear, Something to Read
And planning out family, grandparents, neighbor gifts that are thoughtful and
we will be making most of them.

  • We went on walks, bike rides, catch and throw! Love being active with my kids.
  • Food Storage/Emergency Prep- set up a plan for our water, have a 50 gallon water jug for our garage, just need to fill it up with solution and put it on a wooden dolly.
  • Also, getting back into coupons, I have been buying groceries on sale, but want to get back into saving money and building my food storage, so set up a plan for November!
  • I have been running and just completed my 5k last night! Wahoo it was so fun!

I fell really good overall with accomplishing my goals. I didn't do them perfect, but I got thinking about most of them and set up a plan! One thing I didn't do was get on a Whole 30 plan- I did shop and eat healthy foods, but didn't follow the plan exactly.

Now for my November Goals!

I am ready to set me some big goals- I have been a working from home MOM for almost a full YEAR! I signed up to be a Beachbody/Health & Fitness Coach on November 10th 2014 and it has been so awesome helping myself with my goals, but also help and inspire others. This is the best job! As coaches we work from home while taking care of our family, taking care of ourselves- getting in our workout, healthy eating and Personal Development. I have learned so much this year on how to set goals, break them down and ACHIEVE them!

Along with my Coaching/Business Goals,

I of course have set some Personal/Family Goals . . .

I am going to start stocking up on food storage and the food we eat through couponing more and saving money each month for necessities for Emergency.

I also want to start a scripture reading program/ journaling called 40 day Walk with Christ, I printed it out last year and didn't do it, so it is a goal to complete the full 40 days!

I also want to do better at my meal prep on weekends before the week hits!  I have been slacking a bit lately.

And my plan for Christmas is to figure out what the kids want and need, along with Us, Grandparents, etc. And put together our thoughts and ideas and get started on projects and shopping!

I am excited to stick to my goals and take it a day at a time!

What are your goals for November?

{Guest Post- Shambray's Blog} POSITIVE CHANGE

I am excited to have a very inspirational post written by a great Mom I personally know. Shambray has been blogging for over a year now and she is such a great positive person. She is a busy working Mother of two cute baby girls. She blogs at Shambray . . .

http://www.shambray.com/

Here is her post about how to turn your chaos and thoughts into positive thoughts.

This week….well let’s just say it has been a rough one.  My house is a complete disaster, my newborn has been extra fussy, we have Halloween festivities that I might have over-scheduled, I haven’t had a date night with my husband in far too long, work is absolutely crazy, and I am doing all this on little sleep.  AHHHHH!  So I thought to myself, “What can I do to make this week a positive week and not leave me feeling drained and a failure?”

I tend to constantly see myself as failing.  I tend to get angry at myself over little things.  Then I take my frustration out on my sweet family.  They don’t deserve that.  So I needed to come up with a solution and I needed to do it fast.

Luckily, I have goals this month that can help me do just that.  I have been slacking on my goals this month and I wanted to fix that.  Some of my goals were inspired by a blog post that a contributor of my blog posted at the end of September.  I loved the post so much and wanted to put it into action.  So I incorporated some of the habits from that post into my October goals.

Today I will mention two of the five habits that we all should strive to have in our lives.  The first one I need to mention here because it is so important to Melissa and to this blog.  That is exercise.  Exercise can change our attitude completely.  It can help us have more energy and it can help us be more positive.  That is probably because we actually FEEL better.

The other habit I wanted to mention is meditation.  On my blog it goes into specifics, but it states that this doesn’t have to be difficult.  Meditation is merely focusing on your breathing.  You do not need to make it more complicated than that.  Honestly, that is complicated enough for me.  My mind tends to wander.  I set a goal to get to 1 minute of meditation a day.  Well I do not think I am going to get to that point.  I am still trying to meditate for 15 seconds without my mind worrying about something or thinking of something else.  Go ahead laugh if you want.  I am trying though and the days I can mediate are better days.

I want to go back to my question that I asked myself earlier, “What can I do to make this week a positive week and not leave me feeling drained and a failure?”  I am so glad that I recognized my attitude at the beginning of this week and challenged myself to fix the problem before it got out of hand.  I am now seeing positive changes in my week and the week isn’t even over yet.  I hope it continues to get better and better!

Thanks for your thoughts Shambray about making a positive change. It all comes with the choices we make and the positive thoughts we will have in each moment and turning them into positive actions.  As busy Moms we can make choices each day to better ourselves and each responsibility we have. Because we have a lot of them!

70 superfoods in Shakeology & why I drink it everyday!

I have been drinking the meal replacement

Shakeology

for almost 1 full year.

And I can't even begin to tell you how this has been the

best I have ever felt!

I can't wait to be pregnant again with drinking this.
It will be SO NICE to have a pregnancy where I feel better than I ever did.
I crave sugar A LOT during all 3 of my pregnancies, so
I am excited to not crave it as much because I will have my Shakeology!

I want to share with you today about some of the ingredients in Shakeology and why I chose this over other meal replacements.

EVERY SINGLE Ingredient is good for you.
They are superfoods from all over the world that help aid in some many benefits for your Body!

  • I love know that I get in a serving of Veggies everyday from the scoop. It has Spinach, Kale, Moringa, Chlorella, and more. These phytonutrients help support health & vitality.
  • Protein- It has 16 grams in each scoop. Helps to build lean muscle and reduce cravings. Your choice of Whey or just Vegan. The ingredients are chia, flax, Quinoa, Pea. In Vegan you have oat and rice.
  • Fruit/Antioxidant- Camu-Camu, Goji Berry, Vitamins A,C,E- help fight free radical damage and support a healthy immune system.
  • Adaptogen Blend- Ginkgo, Maca & more, help your body to react and respond to the effects of stress.
  • Digestive Enzyme- Pre & Probiotic- Yacon Root, Amylase, Cellulase- Help nutrient absorption and support regularity and healthy digestion.
I drink it every morning, and occasionally for lunch if I felt like something else for breakfast. It is part of my everyday meal plan. It starts my day off right so I feel the benefits of this drink throughout the day!

My kids love the shake and I share with them! Especially my little guy- I love his shakeO mustache!

I drink Shakeology every day because it is yummy, it gives me the nutrients I need in a day, when it isn't always easy to get in good whole food. Especially on busy days and when something comes up or I am faced with not so healthy foods. It gives me energy to keep going through my day as a Busy Mom and not lack in the afternoon when I used to need a nap with my little guy. I get stuff done! It also helps keep me regular. Ha! That's all we will say about that! And it keeps me from craving lots of junk food/sugar. I have eaten less sugar this past year. It feels great!

I get my Shakeology paid for, learn how you can too! Or how you can get it at a discount!

Be Grateful for your Body

Our bodies can do amazing things.
I am grateful for a body that can move, exercise, take care of my kids, play, clean, cook . . .

Here is a talk by Susan Tanner that I want to share with you to inspire you to realize that your body is a great gift from God.

https://www.lds.org/general-conference/2005/10/the-sanctity-of-the-body?lang=eng

"Happiness comes from accepting the bodies we have been given as divine gifts and enhancing our natural attributes, not from remaking our bodies after the image of the world. The Lord wants us to be made over—but in His image, not in the image of the world, by receiving His image in our countenances (see Alma 5:14, 19)."
Be grateful and show God and those around you that your body as well as your mind is a great gift and you will treat it as so.
